The Story So Far…
Potterton’s of the Cotswolds was founded in 2025 by us, Ivo and Molly, to help independent venues grow and thrive. We bring a combination of experience across sales, marketing, events, operations, and government-led sustainability, allowing us to shape practical, long-term strategies that deliver real results. The name reflects Ivo’s farming roots and his passion for farm-to-fork dining.
Potterton’s operates as a Revenue Generation Agent (RGA) - a focused, hands-on approach that combines sales, business development, partnerships, and event management to generate direct, trackable income for venues.
From years working within the sector, we’ve seen a consistent pattern: great venues succeed when they build reliable revenue streams. Events, private dining, and structured bookings provide certainty - clear numbers in the diary - rather than relying on unpredictable footfall.
We build and manage those revenue streams. That means driving bookings through the right channels, developing partnerships that convert, and ensuring opportunities are followed through from enquiry to confirmation.
Our approach to sustainability supports this growth in a practical way - aligning with government frameworks while strengthening long-term reputation and operational resilience.
Our goal is simple: increase revenue, expand networks, and deliver meaningful exposure that leads directly to bookings.
We exist to ensure venues are not relying on chance - but operating with structure, consistency, and clear commercial direction.
The Mission
We work across independent venues, hotel groups, and hospitality operators. Different scales, same challenge: turning great hospitality into consistent, predictable revenue.
Many venues are led brilliantly on guest experience, but the commercial side - sales, events, and partnerships - is often underbuilt or reactive rather than structured. That gap is where performance is lost.
We founded Potterton’s as a Revenue Generation Agent (RGA) to change that. We focus on the areas that directly drive income: sales, events, and partnerships. We believe these should no longer sit as “support functions” but as the core engine of a venue’s business model.
In practice, that means building and managing the channels that bring in confirmed revenue - private dining, events, corporate bookings, and structured partnerships - rather than relying on footfall or passive demand.
Our commitment is simple:
– Drive direct revenue through sales and events
– Strengthen visibility with clear, effective marketing
– Build long-term commercial structure that performs consistently
We believe every venue, regardless of size, performs better when revenue generation is treated as a primary function - not an afterthought.
